#Registering mscomctl ocx install
I have tried to install office 2013 32bit. I have deregistered the ocx file and re-registered the new version. I have been doing some research and it appears to be the 64bit part of Office 2013. After serching through the microsoft and other forums I found a link to this simple fix. I thought I would share how I overcome this issue incase anyone else had the same issue. Registering MSCOMCTL. It works great with Office 1007-2010, but it fails with Office 2013. When trying to run Mp3gain for the first time I encounted the error: 'Component MSCOMCTL.OCX or one of its dependencies not currently registered'. Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 has transitioned to Extended Support which runs through March 31, 2008. I have a VBA that uses the MSCOMCTL.ocx file and treemain. However, we are releasing this non-security related package because it contains improvements that were ready for release just prior to the end of Mainstream Support. Mainstream Support for Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 ended on March 31, 2005. regsvr32 mscomctl.ocx Restart your computer after registering the file and check if you can correctly install the application again. Now we can go ahead registering the file with your operating system.

This package will not install these Common Controls if they do not already exist on the target system. I know that re-registering mscomctl.ocx and comctl32.ocx has previously solved the problem.
#Registering mscomctl ocx update
This package updates two Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 Common Controls: mscomctl.ocx and comctl32.ocx to address the issues described in the KB articles noted in the Related Resources section on this page. A fairly recent Windows update seems to have caused a problem for VBA code in Word using the ListView control at a couple of customers that I work with.
